4. Account Creation, Connection & Using Mug

To use Mug, you need an account and must stay signed in while using the app.

This ensures fast and secure sign-in without requiring a phone number.

🔑 Staying Connected

Once logged in, you stay signed in unless you manually log out. If you switch devices, just sign in again.

Once your account is set up, you can:
✅ Send Mugshots (live reactions) to friends
✅ Chat in private or group messages
✅ Receive notifications when friends interact with your Mugs
✅ Customize your profile (username, profile picture, and bio)

6. Who Does Mug Share Your Data With?

To provide a seamless and secure experience, Mug may rely on trusted third-party services, including:

  • Cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services & Firebase)
  • Analytics tools (Google Analytics)
  • Email & notification services (SendGrid)

🌍 Transfers Outside the EU

Mug stores user data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located in the United States.

🚨 We comply with GDPR and ensure your data remains protected under EU-equivalent security measures.

👉 We will never transfer your data outside the EU without full GDPR compliance.
