Welcome to Mug!
At Mug, our mission is to bring you and your friends closer by capturing real, unfiltered reactions. We want to create a space where you can share moments authentically and connect in a fun and engaging way.
To make that possible, we want to be transparent about what it means to be part of the Mug community. These Terms of Service (“Terms”), along with our Privacy Policy and Community Standards (collectively, the “User Agreement”), outline what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and how we can work together to make Mug a great experience.
By using our services, you agree to be bound by the User Agreement. If you don’t agree with these Terms, please do not use our services.
Mug is for real people—no AI or bots allowed. To use Mug, you must be a real human (because real reactions matter):
In this agreement, “you” refers to both the individual user and, if applicable, the person or entity legally responsible for an account created on behalf of someone else.
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it’s used, and when it’s shared. By using Mug, you agree that we may collect, store, process, and transfer your data as needed to provide our services—including sharing it with trusted partners who help us keep Mug running.
Mug is all about real reactions and authentic moments—don’t steal content or spread negativity. Be real. Be kind. Be respectful. Be you.
Content includes profile pictures, photos, videos, Mugshots, reactions, emojis, captions, comments, and messages shared on Mug.
You are fully responsible for any Content you share on Mug, which means:
If your Content violates these rules, we have the right to remove it—no complaints.
Mug has zero tolerance for harassment, threats, hate speech, child exploitation, self-harm promotion, or any illegal activity. See our Community Guidelines for more details.
You own the Content you share on Mug, but by posting it, you give us permission to use it in specific ways:
At Mug, authenticity matters—so keep it real, and keep it respectful. 🚀
Mug is a space for authentic, real connections—but we rely on our community to help keep it safe. While we don’t actively monitor every piece of Content, anything that violates someone’s rights, breaks the law, or goes against our Terms of Service (“Violative Content”) is strictly prohibited.
If you come across Violative Content, you can report it using the reporting feature in the app or through our website’s reporting form.
If someone has copied your Content in a way that infringes your intellectual property rights, you can report it directly in the app or via our intellectual property reporting form on our website.
If you violate Mug’s rules, we may temporarily or permanently suspend your account—especially if you:
⚠️ First Violation → 30-day suspension (no posting or viewing content)
⚠️ Second Violation → Another 30-day suspension
⛔ Third Violation → Permanent ban. No new Mug accounts allowed.
🚨 Immediate Ban
Certain content—like child exploitation material (CSAM)—will result in an instant and permanent ban.
If you think your account was wrongly suspended, you can appeal through our support form.
We may temporarily suspend your account if we detect suspicious activity that could pose a security risk to you or other users.
If your account is inactive for 2+ years, we’ll notify you before deleting it—so you’ll have a chance to stop the deletion if you want.
If Mug isn’t your vibe anymore, no hard feelings. You can delete your account anytime by going to Settings → Account Deletion.
